Either a withdrawal of our Power of Attorney, or some other document transferring rights back to the inventor, needs to be filed if the inventor wants to assume control of their application
Hi Martha,
Okay, I spoke with this Examiner. He indicated the same thing to me he did to you, that he received a call from the inventor. In addition, though, the Examiner let me know that since we are the attorneys of record and the POA was signed by SACGC, he is not really permitted to contact the inventor at this stage. Either a withdrawal of our Power of Attorney, or some other document transferring rights back to the inventor, needs to be filed if the inventor wants to assume control of their application and work with the Examiner directly.
As far as I know, we do not have any contact information for this inventor; at least, I couldn't find any in a quick search. So I suppose we need to report this to Mohammad and let him know what is going on, so the inventor knows what to do from here on out and/or can contact us. Unless you can think of something else we can do?

Examiner Matthew Ziegler just called for you and I transferred him to your voice mail. He was calling about this Sabah case. This is the case that the Sabah Center no longer wishes to pursue due to the belligerence, etc. of the inventor. Apparently, the inventor called the Examiner directly.

Goldberg himself explains how POA filings control attorney-of-record status at the USPTO. He knew exactly what he was doing when he signed 16 POAs listing Litman.
