Website Evidence Capture Guide

Website Evidence Capture Guide — nathlaw.com

Purpose: Document public use of Richard Litman's identity on nathlaw.com and any change to "Patent Attorney – Retired."

Automated capture blocked: Wayback Machine returns 403 for automated requests. Manual capture required.

Step 1: Wayback Machine Snapshots

  1. Open: https://web.archive.org/
  2. Enter: https://nathlaw.com/
  3. Click "Browse History"
  4. Capture these dates if available:
  5. June 21, 2025 (uncle's mentioned snapshot)
  6. June 1–30, 2025 (pre- and post-"Retired" change window)
  7. Current date (for comparison)

Step 2: What to Capture

For each snapshot: - URL (exact Wayback URL, e.g. https://web.archive.org/web/20250621000000/https://nathlaw.com/) - Capture date (from Wayback) - Team/Attorney page: Does it list Richard Litman? Wording used? - "Patent Attorney" vs "Patent Attorney – Retired": Note exact wording - Screenshot: Save full-page and relevant sections

Step 3: Current Site

  1. Open: https://nathlaw.com/
  2. Navigate to Team/Attorneys/About
  3. Record: How is Richard Litman listed today?
  4. Screenshot and date

Step 4: Document

Create a file with: - Table: Date | URL | Visible wording | Notes - Attach screenshots with filenames including date

Theory: Site showed Litman as patent attorney; around late June 2025 changed to "Retired." This supports continuing public identity use and later modification.

Captured Evidence (Saved)

The June 21, 2025 snapshot has been captured and saved: - File: evidence/website/nathlaw_richard_litman_profile_2025-06-21.png - Shows: "RICHARD C. LITMAN, PATENT ATTORNEY" — no "Retired"

Later Snapshot Analysis (2026-03-14)

See NATHLAW_LATER_SNAPSHOTS_ANALYSIS.md for full analysis. Summary: - Professionals page: June 21, 2025 — Litman listed as "PATENT ATTORNEY". Sept 5, 2025 — Litman removed from team listing. - Profile page: No captures after June 21; live page is 404. - "Retired" on later pages refers to Gary Nath, not Litman. The change was removal, not "Retired" wording.
