Meyer Emails Analysis Part2

Meyer Emails Analysis -- Pages 101-200 (Bates RL_6132 - RL_6231)

Source: evidence/google_drive_download_20260415/download_extracted/0008- Meyer Emails (RL_6032-6814).pdf Date Range of Emails: December 2022 -- March 2023 Analyst Notes: Pages 101-200 are predominantly operational/routine emails. Meyer appears on CC for financial wire notifications and as the attorney handling new domestic patent clients. Key evidentiary findings are limited but notable.

KEY EVIDENTIARY FINDINGS

1. KFU Wire Receipts -- Meyer CC'd on All Major Wires (Jan-Mar 2023)

Meyer is CC'd on every KFU wire notification from Valencia Gray (Accounting Specialist), alongside Goldberg. This proves Meyer had direct knowledge of all KFU revenue flowing through NGM during this period.

Date Amount Bates Notes
Jan 17, 2023 $143,796.29 RL_6135-6138 Wire breakdown prepared by Martha Long
Jan 30, 2023 $90,997.52 RL_6133 Martha confirms she will prepare breakdown
Feb 6, 2023 $42,804.19 RL_6132 Standard wire notification
Mar 8, 2023 $331,322.00 RL_6139-6141 Largest single wire in this batch

Total KFU wires in this 2-month window: $608,919.81

Evidentiary significance: Meyer cannot claim ignorance of KFU revenue scale. He was receiving real-time wire notifications for every incoming payment.

2. Martha Long: "I have taken the 20% off of the total for the attorney's fees paid" (Jan 25, 2023)

Bates RL_6135 (Page 104) - From: Martha Long - To: Valencia Gray - CC: Accounting; Jerry Meyer; Joshua Goldberg; KFU (kfu@4patent.com) - Date: Wednesday, January 25, 2023 4:59:33 PM - Subject: RE: $143,796.29 International Money Transfer Credit from King Faisal University

CRITICAL QUOTE:

"Attached is the breakdown for this wire. It leaves $1,396.29, which should remain in the general trust for now. I am not sure how you handle the discounted fees here. Please talk to Josh if you have questions. I have taken the 20% off of the total for the attorney's fees paid. Most of the money should go into trust for each case noted. There are two matters which were already completed."

EVIDENTIARY SIGNIFICANCE: - Confirms the 20% formula was operationally applied at the wire-allocation level by paralegal staff (not just in Payment Allocation Reports). Martha Long, a paralegal, was computing and deducting 20% as standard operating procedure. - Meyer was on the CC -- he saw this in real time. - "Please talk to Josh if you have questions" -- confirms Goldberg controlled the fee allocation process. - "Discounted fees" -- raises question about whether some KFU fees were being discounted and whether Litman's 20% was being calculated on the discounted or full amount. - Stacks with Finding #66 (20% rule validated as NGM's operational baseline).

3. "RCL origination credit" -- KSU Client (Dr. Hadi Alqahtani, Feb 8, 2023)

Bates RL_6148 (Page 117) - From: Martha Long - Date: Wednesday, February 8, 2023 7:31 AM - Subject: New Patent Search/New Client --- Client 200641/Search Docket 2100641.00S

QUOTE:

"RCL origination credit" "New patent search / Small entity / Client and Owner -- Dr. Hadi Alqahtani / P.O. Box 2045 / Physics Department / King Saud University / Riyadh 11451 / SAUDI ARABIA"

EVIDENTIARY SIGNIFICANCE: - Another "RCL origination credit" email -- parallel to the Jovancevic docket (Finding #71). - This is a brand-new KSU client coming in February 2023 -- 2.5 years after the "termination" and 8 months after the arbitration Award. - NGM is still crediting Litman as the origination source for new Middle East university clients. - The email was sent via clientservice@4patent.com (Litman's domain alias). - Stacks with Finding #61 (98% of all NGM matters referred by Litman).

4. KSU Email to rlitman@nathlaw.com (Feb 9, 2023)

Bates RL_6154 (Page 123) - From: Intellectual Property and Technology Licensing Program (iptl@KSU.EDU.SA) - CC: Joshua Goldberg; KSU (ksu@4patent.com); Jerry Meyer; Richard Litman (rlitman@nathlaw.com) - Date: Thursday, February 9, 2023 11:16 AM - Subject: New Case: provisional application titled "Novel Invention of Growing Rod to Treat Early Onset Scoliosis" - Importance: High, marked "VERY URGENT"

EVIDENTIARY SIGNIFICANCE: - KSU is CC'ing Litman at rlitman@nathlaw.com on new patent work as of February 2023 -- post-arbitration. - Meyer is on the same CC -- he sees that Litman's name and email are being used in active client communications. - Uses the ksu@4patent.com alias (Litman-domain infrastructure, Finding #46). - Confirms Litman's name remained on the KSU relationship through at least Feb 2023.

5. Conflict Check Sent to rlitman@nathlaw.com (Dec 8, 2022)

Bates RL_6229 (Page 198) - From: Gregory Kang - To: Joshua Goldberg; Jerry Meyer; Howard Kline; Tanya Harkins; Richard Litman (rlitman@nathlaw.com); James Lafave; Stan Protigal; Nahied Usman; Robert Lyons; Al Muratori; Morgan Rosenberg - Date: Thursday, December 8, 2022 6:44 PM - Subject: Conflict Check

CONTENT: Conflict check for representing DeepSight (deepsight.com) for IP issues including patent and trademark filings.

EVIDENTIARY SIGNIFICANCE: - Litman is included in the firm-wide conflict check distribution as of December 2022 -- 2.5 years after the "termination." - This means NGM was treating Litman as an attorney whose clients needed to be checked for conflicts -- i.e., he was still being held out as an attorney of the firm. - Tanya Harkins is also on this distribution, confirming she was still at the firm in Dec 2022 (despite her May 2021 "he doesn't work here anymore" statement, Finding #55). - Meyer replied "No conflicts" -- confirming he participated in this process that included Litman.

6. Meyer as "Co-Managing Partner" -- Active Client-Facing Role

Throughout pages 101-200, Meyer signs all emails as "Jerald Meyer / Co-Managing Partner" and is actively handling client consultations, fee negotiations, and patent prosecution decisions for new domestic clients (Ellis Hooley -- logging equipment; Kevin Taybron -- yard debris collection).

Key fee quotes from Meyer to clients: - Provisional patent: $3,500-4,500 (Hooley, RL_6163) - Utility patent: $6,000-8,000 (Taybron, RL_6186) - Retainer: $7,000 (Taybron, RL_6202) - Expedited examination: additional $1,500-2,000 (Taybron, RL_6186)

Note: Meyer identifies himself as the person responsible for client work and fee discussions for these domestic clients. He is actively practicing, not merely an administrative figurehead.

7. Kuwait University Wire -- $500 (Feb 24, 2023)

Bates RL_6143 (Page 112) - From: Valencia Gray - CC: Accounting; Jerry Meyer; Joshua Goldberg - Subject: $500 Incoming Money Transfer Credit RE: New Patent Search -- Docket 33044.26S (Kuwait University) - Uses KU (ku@4patent.com) alias on CC line

Note: Even small wires ($500 for a patent search) go through the same notification chain with Meyer CC'd.

8. clientservice@4patent.com Used for All Client Communications

Throughout these pages, every client-facing email from Martha Long uses clientservice@4patent.com as the CC. This confirms the systematic use of Litman's domain for all client service infrastructure during this period (Feb-Mar 2023).

EMAILS WITH NO SIGNIFICANT ADMISSIONS (OPERATIONAL ONLY)

The following pages contained routine operational content with no direct admissions: - Pages 101-103, 106-111: KFU wire notifications (Valencia Gray to Martha Long, CC Meyer/Goldberg) -- evidentiary value is the wire amounts and Meyer's presence on CC. - Pages 113-115: Kuwait University new patent search (Martha Long processing). - Pages 116-119: New client Dr. Hadi Alqahtani (KSU) -- patent search fee $735. - Pages 120-121: Jerry Meyer reviewing technical claim language for Kan Cui client (docket 10057-42). - Pages 122-124: KSU new patent application (docket 33092.23U) -- routine filing. - Pages 125-153: Ellis Hooley (logging equipment client) -- extended thread. Meyer provides patentability advice, fee quotes, and scheduling. No admissions. - Pages 154-197: Kevin Taybron (yard debris collection client) -- extended thread. Meyer provides consultation, fee quotes ($6K-8K for utility patent). Same thread repeated multiple times across nested replies. No admissions. - Page 200: Docket correction (CPI system update) -- routine.

SUMMARY OF EVIDENTIARY VALUE

# Finding Bates Significance
1 Martha Long applies "20% off the total" for KFU wire allocations RL_6135 Confirms 20% formula was standard operating procedure at wire level
2 "RCL origination credit" for new KSU client (Feb 2023) RL_6148 Litman still credited as originator 2.5 yrs post-termination
3 KSU emails rlitman@nathlaw.com on new case (Feb 2023) RL_6154 Litman's name/email used in active client relationship
4 Conflict check includes rlitman@nathlaw.com (Dec 2022) RL_6229 Litman treated as firm attorney for conflict purposes
5 $608,919.81 in KFU wires in 2-month window RL_6132-6141 Meyer CC'd on all, cannot claim ignorance
6 clientservice@4patent.com used systematically Throughout Litman domain infrastructure for all client service

Overall Assessment: Pages 101-200 are primarily operational but contain one major admission (Martha Long's "20% off" statement, RL_6135) and several structural proof points (conflict check, RCL origination credit, KSU CC'ing Litman). The 20% wire-level deduction is new evidence that the formula was applied mechanically by paralegals, not just in aggregate reports -- strengthening Finding #66 and Making it harder for NGM to argue the 20% was "aspirational."
